Infrastructure Solutions Architect

Based in our Oxford Headquarters the Solutions Architect will be responsible for the critical IT systems and infrastructures to support Nominet and enable our vision of a Vibrant Digital Future of inclusivity, connectivity and security.

The Infrastructure Solutions Architect is a new role responsible for providing a combined function of Solution and Technical architecture for the on-premise, hybrid and cloud IT Infrastructure services and systems for Nominet and its customers.

As a Solutions Architect you will gain exposure to a wide range of technologies that underpin the critical national infrastructure for the UK registry services, DNS for 30+ top level domains and secure government solutions.

You will assure solution and systems design across our estate, so all elements of the solution are aligned to IT architecture and standards to deliver the required outcomes for the project and associated change activities. As a Solutions Architect you should be able to develop high & low-level designs, assure solution builds including both functional and non-functional requirements and needs are met.

Web Development Lead

Legal Counsel

Nominet has a legal team of three lawyers, which advise all areas of the business. Most legal work is kept in house, although we have access to external law firms for some contentious and specialist advisory work.

The legal counsel role at Nominet is very varied. You will provide legal advice for the core part of the business reviewing contracts, intellectual property management and disputes, internet policy development, together with general corporate legal advice. The .UK registry is an unusual business structure and operation, and an ability to deal creatively with new and sometimes difficult legal issues is required.

The internet is international. We have established relationships with other country code registries throughout the world. There will be an opportunity for international travel as part this role.

Sales Manager

The Sales Manager is responsible for successfully achieving our Registry Services sales targets. They will generate a pipeline of potential clients and manage client acquisition both directly and indirectly through delivery of our product proposition. This role will be based in Oxford with travel in the UK & internationally.

The Sales Manager is integral to the overall success of the department, and will be supported in all aspects, by the wider Registry Services Department.

As well as approaching potential customers with the aim of winning new business, the Sales Manager will strive to maintain good relationships with existing clients, gaining repeat business wherever possible.

Researcher - Cyber

Nominet are looking for an enthusiastic cyber researcher to join the Cyber Security team working on a variety of topics to help secure critical DNS services. The candidate will use their understanding of cyber security, networking and data analysis to help design and prototype new tools and techniques.

We are looking for the right person to help drive the cyber research strategy who will be passionate, motivated and have the appropriate skills. The job title and salary will be allocated depending on the skills and experience of the candidate. In order to qualify for the Senior researcher role the candidate must have a minimum of 3 years working in the cyber research field and have demonstrable output such as white papers or innovative products or services.

This is a great role for an ambitious candidate who is keen to support and advance services that form part of the UK’s critical internet infrastructure and essential cyber services to customers including NCSC’s pioneering UK public sector DNS service. There will be opportunities to represent Nominet at events and conferences and collaborate with external organisations in academia, government and industry.
