Senior Analyst Developer

Nominet are seeking senior Java developer with a deep understanding of the Java language and APIs and experience designing systems and system architecture. 

This person would work as part of the Operational Applications team to design, develop, release and maintain our software and systems architecture, enabling the highest possible quality of services for Nominet’s systems. 

The Operational Applications team is a team of software developers responsible for the operation and the development of the core and critical software systems that enable the dot uk registry.

Java Developer Front End (Analyst Developer)

As part of the Web development team you will work closely with other engineers to deliver new features and services to Nominet’s customers. You will have a lead role in producing robust, cutting-edge Java web applications utilised by millions of users.

You will be expected to take ownership of technical deliverables within projects and engage with a variety of stakeholders across the business.

Database Administrator

As Database Administrator you will be responsible for the administration, performance, integrity and security of the Postgres Database and other databases in one of the internet’s biggest and most influential companies. You will have the opportunity to work with a number of current database technologies.

You will proactively administer the database environments across multiple technologies to provide best-of-breed database support to the Nominet business. Deliver enhancements and projects in line with a technical roadmap across multiple database technologies and platforms.

Customer Success Manager

Nominet is a world leader in cyber security. Our services are employed by the Government, among others, to protect their secure networks. This is an exciting time of ambitious growth plans for our cyber product and as Customer Success Manager you will have the opportunity to help shape what customer success looks like for our cyber product Enterprise customer base.

As a Customer Success Manager within our Service Delivery team you will be responsible for the renewal, retention, and overall experience of the Enterprise customer base. Initially you will focus on supporting the Sales team and on-boarding of new customers. The Customer Success Manager will work closely across many company departments and will be responsible for delivering an overall excellent customer experience, seeking out both cost saving and commercial opportunities, and ensuring we protect and grow our renewable revenue.

You will therefore build strong relationships across your accounts and your time will be spent in face-to-face meetings, building relationships and being the first port of call for key accounts as well as being proactive in keeping contact with them.

Policy and Government Relations Manager

As Policy and Government Relations Manager you will manage the policies that are crucial to the running of .UK and you will shape agendas with policy makers, particular to further Nominet’s mission as a leading tech for good company.

You will also advise internal teams within Nominet, to ensure that they are informed about the policy implications of their work and that policy and regulatory issues are factored into the strategic direction of the company.

The tech sector moves rapidly and an important part of the Policy and Government Relations Managers role is to build strong partnerships with politicians, civil servants, regulators, think tanks and academics to ensure that the business is informed about key policy and political developments.

Public Affairs Executive

As Public Affairs Executive you will support the public affairs team to deliver a proactive and impactful engagement plan that ensures Nominet is building a positive reputation with stakeholders, showcasing Nominet as a responsible, innovative company with business momentum and strong tech for good credentials.

The Public Affairs Executive will help ensure the business is informed about key political developments and issues affecting business units. In this role  you will work closely with the Government Relations and Policy Manager, with the Emerging Technology Policy Lead, and with colleagues in the corporate affairs directorate, around the business and with external agencies.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with excellent organisational and communication skills who wants to develop their career in Public Affairs/ Government Relations.

The role could be based in Oxford or London, but candidates would need to be able to spend time in both locations as required.

Researcher - Cyber

Nominet are looking for an enthusiastic cyber researcher to join the Cyber Security team working on a variety of topics to help secure critical DNS services. The candidate will use their understanding of cyber security, networking and data analysis to help design and prototype new tools and techniques.

We are looking for the right person to help drive the cyber research strategy who will be passionate, motivated and have the appropriate skills. The job title and salary will be allocated depending on the skills and experience of the candidate. In order to qualify for the Senior researcher role the candidate must have a minimum of 3 years working in the cyber research field and have demonstrable output such as white papers or innovative products or services.

This is a great role for an ambitious candidate who is keen to support and advance services that form part of the UK’s critical internet infrastructure and essential cyber services to customers including NCSC’s pioneering UK public sector DNS service. There will be opportunities to represent Nominet at events and conferences and collaborate with external organisations in academia, government and industry.

Researcher - Wireless Technology

Work collaboratively with other researchers and software engineers in the Emerging Technology Team exploring and developing new technologies that will enable Nominet strategic aims and objectives.
