Driving continuous improvement, providing insightful analysis of people data and ensuring the integrity of our HR systems. 
In addition they will deliver a proactive and flexible HR service, focussing on empowering our managers and employees to adopt self-service by providing relevant and appropriate HR support and advice.

What does an HR Advisor do?

Systems & MI Reporting

  • Support and drive the development and  implementation of HR systems and ongoing maintenance of these systems
  • Running reports from the HR systems and producing ad hoc reports as required to drive business decisions and insight for the HRBPs
  • Preparation of HR dashboard, using analytic functions with our HR systems (SAP Success Factors, Glint, Benefits) and Excel
  • Coordinating with the support of the HRBP and internal IT to consider the system change release roadmap and the impact on our HR system and processes
  • Deliver and anticipate a timely response to HRIS problems, involving our systems partners, internal IT and HRBPs and updating system documentation as needed

HR Policy & Process

  • Take the lead to ensure all appropriate policies, procedures and legal requirements are adhered to (regarding both UK and overseas employees) with clear audit trails
  • Maintain all employee records and HR documentation in accordance with GDPR and other data data protection legislation as applies in the UK and overseas with appropriate document control
  • Lead on the provision of HR front line advice to employees in timeframes outlined in HR SLAs, ensuring employees are advised in accordance to to company policies and procedures
  • Ensure HR dependent business processes such as payroll and benefits provision are managed effectively by adhering to documented processes and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external process stakeholders
  • Ensure all HR communication channels are supported with the most recent documentation

Professional HR Service

  • Ensure HR best practice through continuous professional development
  • Supporting new starters during the onboarding process, including setting up inductions and obtaining new starter paperwork
  • Support line managers with basic performance management, employee relations, resourcing and development processes
  • Escalate high risk cases to HRBP of the relevant business area
  • Lead and /or support on HR projects and activities as required including reward, development, wellbeing and engagement
  • Help embed changes across the business by encouraging new ways of working where appropriate

The skills and experience you will bring...


  • CIPD Qualified (desirable) 

Skills & Experience

  • Substantial experience in an HR Systems role
  • Experience of generating and delivering reporting and analytics (eg PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Demonstrable experience of preparing management information and business intelligence reports (including manipulation of spreadsheets)
  • Prior experience working in a HR environment supporting first-line level queries from employees and line managers to create a self-service driven environment
  • Has previously supported on project activities
